Repeat Prescriptions

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we advise that patients avoid bringing their repeat slips down to surgery to order their medication. Where possible please order your prescriptions online, this is the easiest and safest way for patients and quickest way for staff to process.  With the likelihood of staff absences over the coming months, this will help the surgery to provide a more efficient service.

Please also ensure you nominate a pharmacy so your prescription can be sent to them electronically.

If you do not have online access, we can provide you with a username and password.

During this pandemic we will accept prescription requests to our practice email or if you do not have access to the internet we will accept requests over the phone.  Please phone the surgery Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday ONLY between 9am – 1pm ext 212.  Please only order over the phone if you have no other option as our phone lines are very busy and having the request in writing is safer.

Please Note: Extra medication or prescriptions ordered early will not be issued.

These can be ordered by handing a written request in at reception or by faxing or posting your request to the surgery. In order to ensure the safe prescribing of medicines we do not accept verbal requests for prescriptions over the telephone.

Alternatively you can order online via the link at the top of this page. First time users need to complete a quick and easy registration prior to using the system.

Your repeat prescription will be ready for collection from the surgery during opening times 48 working hours following receipt of your request. However, if you require your prescription sooner than this due to unforeseen circumstances please speak to the receptionist.

Please see here for our surgery opening times as prescriptions will not be available for collection outside these hours.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
