Advanced Nurse Practitioners are highly skilled Nurses who have acquired the expert knowledge base, complex decision making skills and clinical competencies for expanded practice. They essentially work as Doctors. They see patients in surgery and perform home visits.
Advanced Nurse Practitioners can see patients for virtually anything they would normally see a GP for. They diagnose and treat problems, carry out physical examination, arrange investigations, make referrals and they are independent prescribers.
The only patients they are unable to see are pregnant ladies. We also ask that patients do not book into see an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for on going problems which they have been seeing a GP for.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and Nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims and dealing with patient records.
